ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – December 8, 2025 – The Ethiopian Tour Operators Association (ETOA) convened a pivotal meeting today with the Permanent Committee on Tourism of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia’s House of Representatives. Held at Mazeki Hotel, the session fostered productive dialogue on the current state and future of Ethiopia’s tourism sector.
ETOA President Ato Fitsum Gezahegn welcomed the committee and presented a detailed report on the industry's performance. This was followed by a vibrant discussion led by Committee Vice Chairman Ato Yohannes Mesfin, during which parliamentarians raised key questions and addressed critical issues related to tourism development.
The meeting covered a broad spectrum of topics essential for the growth and sustainability of Ethiopian tourism. Building on a successful engagement held last year, the session provided a valuable platform for ETOA to highlight the challenges, opportunities, and strategic recommendations crucial for advancing the sector.
