ETOA participated in Ethio–Djibouti Railway’s stakeholder briefing, exploring new rail tourism opportunities along the Addis Ababa–Djibouti corridor and sharing insights on integrating rail travel into Ethiopia’s tourism offerings for the benefit of its members.
The Ethiopian Tour Operators Association (ETOA) actively participated in a stakeholder briefing organized by Ethio–Djibouti Railway (EDR) on its newly launched rail tourism service.
The session highlighted the new tourism opportunities created along the Addis Ababa–Djibouti corridor, offering travelers a modern and comfortable rail experience. EDR also presented flexible tourism packages that can be developed in collaboration with tour operators.
As part of its commitment to engaging in sector-strengthening initiatives, ETOA contributed insights on how rail tourism can be integrated into Ethiopia’s broader tourism offerings and how members can benefit from this new service.
ETOA will continue to take part in similar platforms to ensure strong representation of tour operators and to support innovations that enhance Ethiopia’s tourism competitiveness.
